When my daughter and I rented an apartment, in the chase Street apartment building, we use to hear a lot of walking around, upstair's, and occasionaly we would hear people talking. When I asked the rental management company, who lived upstairs, they told me on one did.
It was empty. Later we learned of the morgue that used to be in the basement, and that the building use to be a doctor's home and hospital. Later a friend of mine moved into an upstair's apartment, there, and told me of having a feeling that someone was there with her, and that object's would move from their original spot.
She would walk into the kitchen in the morning and the cupboard doors would be open, and she was sure they were shut when she had gone to bed. So I think it's safe to say that the place is haunted.

We live in a house that was once called the Nissen hospital. When we moved in, people naturally would ask where we lived. When we told them we lived at the old hospital, almost everyone would exclaim ''I was born in that house! '' we googled ''the nissen hospital'', and found the majority of the references to our house came from obituaries and old newspaper articles describing in detail terrible car wrecks, bad farm accidents and infirmity that this house witnessed in those years. In other words a whole lot of people were dying in our living room. Kind of ironic would not you agree? Hmmm? Anyway, so you might ask, are there ghosts? Yes, Virginia, (mind if I call you Virginia? Hmmm? ) there are ghosts. They exist as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life it's highest beauty and joy.
Alas! How dreary would be the world if there were no ghosts! It would be as dreary as if there were no Santa Claus. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished. Not believe in ghosts! You might as well not believe in fairies. You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas eve to catch ghosts, but even if you did not see ghosts coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees ghosts, but that is no sign that there is no ghosts.
