There is a ghost on the 4th floor of the Mahaska County Hospital. Witnesses often hear him during the late night hours. Stories suggest that he was a psych patient years ago.

The sunlight hours in Oskaloosa, Iowa are identical to sunlight hours anywhere else, but undead ghosts of the past in this settlement don't seem to intend to pass away. Loads of spirit sightings have been disclosed by the local residents. Doubters don't believe in the local spirit tales, but anybody who has stayed for the night in Oskaloosa, Iowa knows better.

The phantom of an elderly woman holding a handgun came into view at Keomah Dam before sunrise taking pleasure in the scenery. The spirit acknowledged the presence of the viewer.

was noticed it disappeared into the thin air. It's been claimed that this individual spirit likes terrifying folks who come looking for spirits in Oskaloosa.
A dark snake that transformed into a lady appeared in a mirror in an Oskaloosa house; the ghost was exclusively detectable in the mirror. Panicked by the bystanders the ghost receded into the darkness.
The ghost of a young-looking lady clothed as a house keeper was witnessed in a building near Oskaloosa. This particular spirit has been observed frequently in this location.
The spirit of a young cowboy was observed drifting down on Little Muchakinock Creek late in the night. There have been further reports involving this ghost in the vicinity.
