was on a trip in the late 60s. Gunther was found dead in the machine shed pinned under a gasoline tank in 1980. He had been working on it and trying to move the tank, and it rolled over him puncturing his abdomen and crushing his chest. The machine shed was taken down after severe storm damage in 1981.
We often times heard an old man screaming for help down by those cars. Now, looking back I realize how unhappy I was living out there by Rolfe. It was isolated.
The farming community wasn't nice to my boys or me. Bad energy was prevalent in that old farming community. In 1994 we couldn't take the spookiness of
the place anymore, and luckily I found work in Illinois, so we moved quickly. We left most of our belongings in the house and made a fresh start. We left without telling anyone in the community. We had made no new friends in Pocahontas or Rolfe. Just sour people with nasty attitudes.|
One of my son's is a physician now, and from time to time he remembers when we were poor and lived out at ''that haunted place. '' I have to wonder if that farm is still
