(Yes, they are visible at night. They are VERY dark shadows.) All of the shadows I have seen are in the shape of a cat. Often times in the hallway it lays right outside the bathroom door. More than once I have followed it into the bathroom thinking it was my own cat. When I turn the light on there is nothing there. And when     I look back out into the hall, there isn't anything there either. My mom has heard footsteps in the dead of night and gotten out of bed only to find all of us kids asleep. My cats growl and hiss at empty spaces that they've been staring at for minutes. At night I always get this feeling that there is someone else with me, although there isn't. And when I was little, I saw an apparition that looked like my sister in an old-fashiony nightgown at night in the dark. She was 'glowing' kind of.
