A friend of mine lived in Rowan when he was little. He says the house they lived in was haunted. The basement door would open by itself. One night they put the refrigerator in front of the door to keep it closed. The next morning, the fridge was back in it regular spot and the basement door was open. There was also a window in the house that could not be seen from the outside. His room was right next to his brother's. Their parents tried having the boys stand in there windows & went outside to look for them. They could see my friend standing in his window, but could not see his brother's window, which should have been right next to the other one, at all. There was a small creek within sight of the house. One day, the two boys were playing on either side of the creek while they're parents and other family members watched them from the house. One of the boys fell in, and at first blamed the other for pushing him, but they weren't even on the same side of the creek. (To this day he swears he was pushed.) They moved shortly after that.

This all would have happened about 20-23 years ago. Last time they went back, the house had been torn down. No one really knows the story behind this house. It would be nice to learn more info if anyone has heard of this.
