Stockport, Iowa Ghost Tales I was outside of town looking at an abandoned house with a friend and the whole place gave me the creeps.. It was very hot today and when we put our hands through the windows it was like ice.. Then as we were leaving I looked up and saw what appeared to be the outline of a little boy and as I turned to tell my friend to look I saw with my peripherial vision distinct facial features.. My friend and I ran to the car and I asked what he saw and he described the same thing to me.. Some of the departed refuse to rest in peace in this city. Folks who have never stayed for a few days in this city will laugh and say it's untrue, but the undeceased souls of Stockport are all too real. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of an old lady gripping a rifle is known to have been observed on       a handful of occasions in Brattian's Grove Historical Marker late in the night pulling a corpse over the grass. Nevertheless, this is a hostile ghost that you shouldn't go seeking.
