Supposedly there is an old bridge near Terril and if you drive partially across the bridge and put your car in neutral and shut it off, your car will be pushed across the rest of the way by a spirit of some sort. Years ago, an old farmhouse which no longer is standing had a windmill in the front yard. The windmill would turn frantically as if there was a strong wind whenever you approached the house. There was no wind present, however.
The farmhouse is long gone, but the windmill is still standing from what Ive been told... And it still turns whenever someone approaches it!!. Submitted by Ghost Hunter Categories: farmhouse, bridge
Oh yes, it's haunted
My wife and I live not to far from Terril and went there at night to see for ourselves. The house is easy to find, it feels haunted. It was around 1 AM, nobody was around and no lights on the street. Suddenly a yellowish-green mist appeared in the window and we got scared. We turned to leave and thats when all these dogs started

barking, from everywhere; we looked back at the house to see what appeared to be a circle of mist and blobs in the yard. Then a real man came outside from another house and started shouting at us to leave. We called the town the next day but we were told that it could be consided trespassing and not to come back.
The place is haunted, the people

Much of the west side of town is ''charged land'' where entities and bizarre activities are often witnessed; mostly on ancient ritual Sabbaths. Submitted by Mike and Dee Dee Category: rituals
There's an early 1900s 2-story house in town were the rumor goes that pagan rituals were once and perhaps still celebrated there. Semi-tranparent images in the windows, glowing entities on the lawn and piercing screams on the coldest of Iowa's winter night have almost become the norm. Submitted by Jenna Category: images
An old house on East Main has been haunted for generations. Sometimes, in the yard a circle on people can be seen around a fire but will vanish if you get too close.
Dogs never go into the unfenced yard. Most neigbors have seen ghostlt faces in the windows of this house. All the neigbors will avoid walking along the property perimeter. . Submitted by Rick Category: home
