Tripoli, Iowa Ghost Tales We always felt like my grandmothers house was haunted.  She never believed us but she never went upstairs to sleep.  My sister was the first one to say something, my kids wanted to stay there after she told us she heard footsteps all night.  So we spent the night there just to see...my boyfriend slept in the front bedroom, my daughter and I slept together in the center bedroom.  When he got up to use the restroom someone locked in in there for hours.  And he heard footsteps in the attic.  I woke up and someone was standing over me, when I screamed something went over my mouth...no scream would come out.  I tried to get out of bed but was unable...I was so scared I really don't know why I couldn't get up I was unable to move.
