he had in him or his girlfriend at the time.
Months later we returned at night to find a blue light floating in the upstairs even though the house was vacant (deserted dirt road and no power in the building). A nearby farm was at the wrong angle to be casting it's yard light within.
We watched the light for a while before it vanished. I asked a few years later and was told that it isn't true about the suicide/murder story but no one is certain
who actually owned the house or why it was abandoned.|

Comment by Clem: I did a bit of research on the name Hecker and Mahtowa later that night. Turns out there was an attempted murder in the late 1800s by a Hecker on his wife. He failed in his attempt but was lead to believe he had succeeded according to the news report.
His wife actually tripped a moment before he fired his gun missing her. He sat in jail believing he had succeeded. The report later states that he grabbed a sheet or curtain and hung himself. If this is the basis of the legend I'm uncertain.
Comment by anonymous: October 20 1992 Christine Hecker 23: her body and the body of her husband Jody Hecker 29 was found inside their rural home. Both had been shot in the head. Christine was found on the living room floor and Jody Hecker was found in the bedroom.
Police believe Jody Hecker shot and killed his wife then committed suicide.
Comment by Nectar: The facts on this story is true about murder suicide. My husband and his brother played in a band together with him. Hecker was the drummer. I became very intrigued with history of this. I do believe, after hearing he had a history of no violence no drugs no alcohol although most stereotyped him because of being in a band, that there may be something more to the history of home before he resided there. If any has more info serious information please email would love to do some EVPs with some of the knowledge of his background. Nectarevangeline@yahoo.com.
Comment by Neal: Whatever's up there it isn't a human or a demon anymore. Demons are actually weak (they gain power by corrupting poltergeists) so whatever that thing is not only did it skip being a demon but even from this range I feel chills running down my back.. That thing is uncontrollable don't return again.
