Comment by anonymous: Close to 22nd Street.
When I was in Washington Elementary School I was talking to a friend (girl) in the back of the classroom when I saw an umbrella slide off one of the cubbies. It hovered in the corner of my eye. I turned quickly to get a better look, and it just fell to the ground, but the bang it made was much too loud for falling from that height as if the ''ghost'' had shoved it down. This happened during class. Later that summer me and another friend (boy) went to the school playground during the super moon of 2014. At about 9:00 pm when we heard strange noises coming from the school the lights between the two doors on all the entrances were on. We could see inside the hallways. It definitely was creepy, but nothing was there. Then we heard faint noises that sounded like metal bars clanging together. By that time we booked it.

We live up by Pinehurst Park. The story goes that the 1918 fire swept through the town of Cloquet, ravaging the entire city. Three houses were reported to have survived, mine being one of them as the story has it. We have been told on numerous occasions our house survived, even the day of our wedding (in our yard) someone approached us with a tale about how the house had made it because the fire chief had hosed it down, and at the time a field that was adjacent was burned preemptively to stop the fire from coming any further. It is not uncommon for activity to happen in our home and is extremely active. We tried to go to the historical center and also call the court houses to verify the story about our house surviving, but oddly our house and block doesn't even show up on the 1940 map in the historical center which is odd since this house was there then.
The house was checked out by a paranormal team and EVPS were caught when I started talking about the fire. The EVP said ''get in the water, it's all over!'', clear as day. I know such an EVP is shocking, especially considering the length and the clarity of it, but it really bothered me for quite some time after. The activity has been in many forms such as floating blue lights, feeling presences, drawers slamming, a shadow person, being touched, rocks thrown at me in my house, water turning on, pets freaking out, voices directed in my ear, my leg being touched while in bed, and I could go on. I would just love to hear from someone that actually could verify WHICH three houses survived the fire and to figure out if it was ours! I suspect more of my neighborhood is affected by activity because a house by us has been sold about four or five times in the four years we have lived here and another one about three. I am wondering if anybody else in Cloquet is experiencing hauntings from the fire, as well. I have an old email account I don't use anymore that you can contact me if you have any info, blackhorsephotos@gmail. Com, but NO spammers or unsolicited emails. .
