Ely, Minnesota Ghost Tales In the house that my family and I are currently living in, a lot of unexplained phenomenon has occured. A man had lived in this house befor us and had commited suicide. I would say atleast once a day some sort of activity goes on. On one occasion I was down stairs doing laundry. I shut The dryer door and turned around because I felt like someone was standing right behind me.  At that point the TV turned on and The dryer door opened and slammed shut.  I am not the only person in the house that has expirienced phenomena like this.  My boyfriend was sitting at the computer one night with the family dog Boots, when out of the blue the dog started acting peculiar. Boots starting whimpering and growling. She ran up the stairs growling, she came back down to the living room and sat there whimpering. My boyfriend walked out into the living room to see what was going on and nothing was there.  He walked into the kitchen to see if someone was at the door. Realizing no ''human'' was there he turned around to head back into the computer room and there was       the ghost of a man.  He was standing in the doorway that connects the living room and kitchen. There are so many things that happen here and with no logical explaination for them. This house is haunted...and everyone living here agrees. There have been lots of happenings with things from another zone. Disbelievers don't trust in the local ghost tales, but Ely is filled with undeceased souls just waiting to give you a good scare. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a young-looking guy in a confederate uniform was perceived in a secluded location near Ely. Several people close by have had comparable occurrences with a very similar ghost. The ghost of a street bum was observed in Semer Park at the stroke of midnight hauling a body through some bushes. This is one of those ghosts that is seen time and again in the neighborhood. No matter what, it undeniably is a frightening ghost that any wise person wouldn't wish to encounter.
