Taconite MN. Spirits and a demon in my home.|

I lived in a house thirteen miles out of Grand Rapids, MN on River Road. I remember when we viewed the house I got a feeling of doom and gloom, but my husband was totally in love with the place. The floors were all natural oak upstairs in the kitchen and formal living room. When we moved in as much as I tried to make that house a warm and loving place it just was not. We would sit downstairs and watch TV, and we would hear someone walking around upstairs. When we went up there to investigate there was not anyone to be found. There would be times when all of sudden we would all smell something rotten almost like a dead rotting body. Then almost as quickly as we all smelled it, the smell would disappear. We had a pond off of the deck that looked swampier than anything. Anytime we went down there it was creepy like someone was watching you.
One night we had the windows open and heard someone or something walking by our window. We got up to investigate, and as usual we found nothing! A few hours later we both had just dismissed the footsteps thinking it was an animal or our dogs outside. Both of us were drifting off to sleep when we heard a knock at the door. It was not a loud knock but enough to wake us up. I got this enormous feeling of dread and a fear of what was behind the door. I begged my husband not to open the door, but being a typical male he did. Just then a big gust of wind came through our door, and I could not help but feel this was a big mistake. The bedroom next to us started having sounds coming from it like chanting, low mumbling sounds. My daughter who slept in that room refused to sleep in there. She complained that her dolls were scaring her. This went on for weeks on end.
My husband made excuses about it and tried to dismiss it. After a while he got spooked, so we asked a man of the cloth to come out and bless the house. It seemed to help for a while but eventually got worse. The low voices and chanting continued. It was not too long after that our marriage fell apart, and we lost our house and business. I often wonder why that house was haunted and had such a bad vibe. I wonder if that was the reason everything changed. We had two dogs. One died on the road; the other died mysteriously from a heart attack when he was just a puppy. A couple of years later after my husband and I had divorced I moved south of Duluth. I was working there and was staying with a friend that owned a house. One night we were getting ready for bed, and we heard a knock at the door. It was just as strange as the one near Grand Rapids, MN. But this time I convinced her not to answer the door. She looked out of window where she could see the door, and no one was there! After that nothing bad happened. Thank God, so you be the judge.

Comment by Gailyn: I grew up in the 50s and 60s in the white block house 13 miles out of Grand Rapids (not the house you had.) The house you're talking about had to be close to that one, but I don't know which one.
Comment by Neal: When your husband opened that door he let in a curse. Probably from an ex Satan worshippers that died and became demons. They followed you both and you not opening the door removed it.. I hope.
