The ghost of a chained up gentleman showed up in Boekholt Grove State Wildlife Management around midnight flickering a lamp. This is one of those spirits that is observed over and over again close by.   One of the residents confidently claims that this ghost is almost certainly the undead ghost of a person who used to reside here in Herman. Regardless of what people exclaim, it's a terrifying spirit that any sensible person wouldn't wish to meet. The spirit of a hobo was observed scrambling up from a drain hole on a Herman lane in the early morning hours. The onlooker ran off immediately after he saw the ghost. Several folks declare this ghost is the undead soul of a long forgotten Herman local.
