Comment by Kay: I lived there for almost 4 years. I had only very pleasant paranormal experiences and was very sad to move. I let a voice recorder play while I slept one night, and when I played it back the next morning it sounded like a full room of people walking around on the hardwood floors, but I was not afraid. It felt peaceful. I also had numerous experiences in the back room I used as an office. I never could pick up on a name, so I just lovingly called the ghost 'mister'. He never frightened me and was very kind to my cats. I felt he was watching over us and approved that we were there. The landlords told me that way back in the day the building was part of a convent that took up the whole block. They didn't know any of the other history.

My family and I live in a home built in 1876. We have been here for approximately 1 1/2 years. We have had constant illness. Heard a woman humming. And frequently hear what sounds like cannons firing some distance away. All I know for certain is that there is ''something'' in this house.

For the first 12 years of my life I lived in South German in New Ulm, MN, the house was built in the late 1860s. In town it's known as the oldest home still residentially occupied house in the county.
