Puposky, Minnesota Ghost Tales I used to live near the Sanitarium and saw many ghostly things: small children walking around the grounds, kids screaming, sightings of people in the windows of the empty building... many things that can't be explained. And we had a few experiences ourselves including getting pushed whispering and being touched. We left after we were done investigating. Submitted by anonymous       Category: sanitarium There is an old mental hospital in Puposky,MN called The Lake Julia Sanitarium and it is VERY haunted! My Grandma and Grandpa live up there and in about 1969 my Grandma and my Grandpa's mom went in there. She got a chair from the hospital. She still has it in her loft. My dad listens to Coast to Coast a radio station every night at work and somebody had a story of the Lake Julia Sanitarium. Here is a brief summary of the story:       A guy went to the Lake Julia Sanitarium with some friends and they went up to where all the kids with TB would stay and they heard a lot of stuff braking and they had bought new flashlights that morning but they didn't work when they turned it on!. When we looked out of the window there were to little girls that looked a little like they wore clothes from Victorian times. We all got freaked out and looked out the windows in the living room. There we saw somebody taking away my grandpa's canoe out on to lake Julia. We thought that it was probably our great uncle but the next morning we asked him if he had done anything with the canoe last night he said ''No. We have not even taken out the canoe this whole year''. About 2 years later my grandpa took us to the graveyard in Popusky late at night we were going to go up the hill all the way but there were people up there so we just thought we shouldn't go up there. SCARY.
