Choteau, Montana Ghost Tales When I was growing up, I lived in a house in Choteau with my mother, along with my brother and sisters. The house was very haunted, many noises and sometimes voices from the attic, and sometimes the noises would come down into the house at night. Also, the TV and radios would turn on and off during the night, and the water in the sink would turn on and off. Sometimes the lights would also flicker, it was very frightening. Luckily, we only had to live there a few months. I was very happy when we finally moved. The ghost of an elderly gold digger with a big beard and a hook instead of his hand was observed being carried by a bicycle on a shadowy road in the vicinity of Choteau. Several people close by have had comparable experiences with a very similar spirit. The ghost of an elderly   female hauling a shot gun has frequently been noticed in a house in Choteau. Locals here claim that this ghost enjoys frightening unwise folks who have the courage to upset the quiet in Choteau. Nevertheless, this is an antagonistic ghost that should be steered clear of. The ghost of a waitress is regularly observed shuffling orbs about by Agency Creek. A local asserts that this spirit may be the soul of a local resident who passed away here in Choteau before the present. In any event, it's undoubtedly a scary spirit that you don't want to bump into late in the night.
