When the onlooker came into view the ghost ran off. A man who lives here claims that this ghost takes pleasure in terrifying foolhardy people who come looking for ghosts in New Salem. The phantom of a gentleman outfitted as a gardener was spotted striding through a flat close to New Salem. The ghost spoke of revenging a murder. One of the people who live here confidently asserts that this ghost may be the spirit of a resident who passed away here in New Salem some decades ago.
