I was driving quite fast when I saw flashing police lights miles behind me. Not wanting to risk it, I slowed down to the speed limit until the threat had passed. A while later, the lights were gone so I got on the gas again. Out of nowhere, the lights were right behind me and I was irritated that I had been that careless to allow     him to catch up with me without seeing him. I pulled over and got my driver's license out for the highway patrolman and waited for him to come to the window. When he didn't come, I checked out the rearview mirror and I was sitting alone on in the middle of the night on the lonely highway. I got back on the gas fast and got home. I call him the ghost cop of Rugby.
