Webster, North Dakota Ghost Tales We moved into this little house on the out skirts of Webster. We had 2 horses in a fenced area just outside the house. On a cold winters night I was on my computer in the kitchen about 11:30 p.m. and I could hear children playing outside then all of a sudden a terrible scream. So I got up went outside to see who it was and if they needed help, I looked around and their was no one around. I shrugged it off, closed the door and went back to my computer. A little while later I heard it again but this time it disturbed my horses making them neigh and stand up on back legs, it was so loud my neighbor across the street came out to help me calm them. He stated he could hear children outside by my house. He thought they were mine I said no. It was winter and the kids don't play outside this late. We settled the horses and went in. I didn't hear anything again until a summer thunderstorm. Nothing again outside. I was later told many years before that my front yard use to be a small play ground. We moved and haven't heard anything about if others hear       the children anymore. It was a 2 story white house with windows on the ''3rd'' floor where the attic is. It also had these abandoned shacks on the   property that our dad wouldn't let us go near because they were very old and he thought the floors would cave in. When I would visit my dad on the weekends and for the summer, I hated to be alone in that house. My dog, who was basically an outside dog, would flip and run around on the main floor if he came inside barking up and at the walls. My dad told me that him and my stepmom would lay awake at night and hear people talking. Once while I was riding my bike with my stepsister...I looked up at the house to yell for my dad and I seen a face in the attic windows. I rode my bike right into the ditch in front of our house. I was glad when my parents moved out. I would never go back into that house again and have only drove by it once since.
