The whole idea was that it would be a light that would keep ghosts away from the stage seeing as the play was set in an abandoned theater and performers in the setting were very superstitious. During the overture the light started flickering even though the light was in the middle of the stage with nobody around     and it was set so that the Only way to turn it on and off was on the stand the light was on. When checked the Cord was completely intact and plugged in all the way.
