Allen, South Dakota Ghost Tales This one time when I was home waiting for my daughter and her friends to come back from a basketball game down at the Allen school. She came in crying just loud and heavy. I asked her what was the matter, she replied that while they were walking up the hill cut across from the main road, they started to run because they heard someone following them from behind. She said the faster they ran the closer whatever it was followed behind them and they can hear whatever it was breathing right behind them. She then said that she actually saw something run past by her and in front of her and it was a figure all in black. She said she tried very hard to see what it was but couldn't because the more she strained her eyes, it was blacker than black. When her and her friends got closer to the ''village'' the black figure ran towards the creek area. My daughter and her friends came back to my house crying and scared. I told her she should have called me in the first place and I would have gone and picked them up from the game. Now they know better than to be walking around in the dark.
