Canton, South Dakota Ghost Tales I baby sat in a house that had a ghost like right across the street from my grandmas house. The family said that there were two ghosts there. There was a nice elderly grandmother type gentle protecting ghost. They named her Edna. Edna protects the family from the other ghost. The other ghost is a mean and restless. That one about the house with the nine ghosts is true. I went to a slumber party there when I was in grade school. My sister and my friends sister both saw a shadowy figure walking up the stairs that night. They felt the mans shadowy presence before they saw him. When I was trying to go to sleep I couldn't it felt so creepy and I was so scared like never before. When I was in middle school I found out that the room everyone stayed in was the room where every one was killed. My grandmother and mother don't believe me and my sister on it either.       But the family that lived there experienced things there that one of their daughters wont even talk about now. It used to be a hospital but is now just a house that   people currently occupy. This little girl is known to like the bath tub down stairs in the basement. Also, in one house there was a family with a little boy and a two little girls who lived with their grandmother. It was an old apartment building. What happened was that the grandmother who killed all of the occupants of the building. There has been at least nine ghosts seen. One little girl who is very pleasant, called Elizabeth who is 12, left and moved with a family who recently lived there. Now there is another family living there. The old main appartment buildings used to be the location of Augustana before it was established in Sioux Falls. It has been said that the girls dormitory was haunted and is active at night. My friends mother lived in the main building and always felt like she was being watched and that she always had the creepiest feelings at night. .
