Things go on around here that can't be rationalized. A number of locals say these descriptions are untrue, but anyone who has stayed a day in Kadoka, South Dakota knows better.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

A half decayed human cadaver was perceived on a Kadoka lane in the early morning hours. Frightened by the bystanders the ghost fled into the darkness.

The ghost of a grower in a worn straw hat became visible floating in the air like a helium balloon in Kadoka. When spotted the ghost came near the witness who then fled.

The phantom of a young-looking air force pilot was distinguished taking in the landscape at Andrew Dam on a dark night. This exact ghost has been observed very often in this area.

A youthful girl sporting a bloody prom dress has repeatedly been observed looking for an object up on
 
    Crawford Hill. A local resident says that this ghost is the tormented soul of a long gone Kadoka person who lived here.

A lady with a sea-green face is repeatedly made out down beside the shore at Kadoka Lake devouring a fish. No matter what, this is an unlikable ghost that any wise person wouldn't want to come across.
