The ghost of a young-looking Indian combatant was observed in a Lake Preston area auto part store, pacing the aisles. Shocked by the witnesses the ghost withdrew into the shadows. The ghost of a sturdy lumberjack holding a sizeable axe has repeatedly been spotted howling by the entrance to Lake Herman State Park.   It has been argued that this particular ghost is that of a local who had a home here in Lake Preston in the past.
