Nisland, South Dakota is just a normal place in the daylight hours, but when the gloomy shadows of the night move in the undeparted take over. Things happen around here that can't be explained by science. Some folks who live here assert there are no ghosts, but anybody who has spent a night in Nisland, South Dakota knows better.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

The spirit of a waitress can repeatedly be distinguished on the top of one of the mountains in the Twin Buttes on a dark night hurling chunks of concrete.

The spirit of an old Indian chief may be seen frequently up on the highest spot of Miller Butte burrowing a cavity. Lots of people who live here say this ghost takes pleasure in terrifying unwise folks who come seeking ghosts in Nisland. No matter what, it's a bloodcurdling spirit that is rather not upset.

A black
 
    as coal crow that transformed into a woman has every now and then been witnessed pulling a dead body from the ice cold water of Owl Creek before dawn. Whatever people express, it sure is a frightening ghost that you don't want to come across on a dark night.

The ghost of a young-looking woman outfitted as a maid is now and then seen spitting
  at passing cars alongside a dark highway near Nisland. One thing is for sure, this ghost indisputably is scary; one that any wise person would not want to encounter.

The ghost of a young cowboy is known to have been spotted on a small number of instances in Bear Butte State Park near the ranger station devouring a hotdog. Local people who have distinguished this ghost assert this ghost could be the soul of a local person who passed on here in Nisland in the past.
