The bright hours in Norris, South Dakota are equal to bright hours anywhere else, but tormented ghosts of yesteryear in this municipality don't seem to have it in mind to pack up. Some of the buried decline to rest in peace in this settlement. Not everyone has faith in the tales the people who live here tell, but anybody who has stayed a day in Norris, South Dakota knows better.
These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.
A gentleman with no head has occasionally been spotted gazing at the water by Baummiller Dam on a dark night.
The spirit of an aged gold digger with a large beard and a wooden leg is every now and then made out at Swimmer Creek around midnight heaving rocks into the flow. According to the local residents, this ghost is that of a local who resided here in Norris before the present.
The ghost of an elderly woman carrying a pistol has been witnessed on many occasions

The spirit of an aged cleaning lady was made out relaxing on a stool in a trailer in the vicinity of Norris. The ghost did not appear to be agonized by the onlookers. One thing's for guaranteed, it is indisputably a scary ghost that any sensible person wouldn't wish to bump into.
