While the sun shines Owanka, South Dakota is an average American town, but struggling ghosts of yesteryear in this town don't appear to want to pass on. Many phantom stories have been told by the folks who live here. Several folks who live here say these tales are not true, but not a hundred percent of the residents of Owanka are really alive.
These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.
A youthful girl in a blood-splattered wedding gown is rumored to have been perceived on numerous occasions at Elmer Olseon Dam in the early morning hours enjoying the surroundings.
A woman with a blue face may now and then be witnessed throwing boulders into the flow at Bear Creek late in the night.
A gentleman having an axe in his head was noticed soaring over Brennan Flat at the stroke of midnight. The ghost reacted to the viewer. A number of of the folks who live here declare this phantom is the undead soul of a long departed Owanka person who lived here.

checking out Anderson Draw in detail after midnight. When the ghost was observed it faded away into the night. Regardless of what people say, this is an unsympathetic spirit that you wouldn't wish to run into around midnight.
A feminine body was observed seeking a hat beside a parked Chevy in an Owanka parking lot very late at night. The ghost was consumed by the air after being seen.
