In 2003, I took my family to wounded knee, I was there in 1973 and really had not gone back in all those years. I took my family to the wounded knee memorial. my wife, wanted to go inside the church. I walked to the door and it was locked, I went to the back, same thing. as I was telling my daughter about what happened at wounded knee, I looked up and saw an elder standing by the front door-which was now open. I called to my wife that someone had opened the door and we could go in. when we got to the door, it was closed-and locked. my wife had asked me if I had really seen someone there and I assured her I did.
