Baldwin, Wisconsin Ghost Tales I lived in Baldwin for over 20 years, and never heard of any of these. Was the Indian chief at the old post office or the new one out by the cemetery? The only ghost I knew of was south west of town, at a farm by the 19 mile marker of I-94. The farmer that once lived there shot himself in the driveway. He has been known to cause footsteps on the second floor of the house that has since burned/been torn down. He also made a habit of hiding things (usually keys), in strange places (under cushions of the sofa). They used to say that the cemetery south of town was haunted because you could see white figures moving around at night, but we lived nearby and had a big white shepherd dog who roamed there at night. Loads of spirit stories have been told by the people who live here. Several people who live here argue there are no spirits, but the spirits of       Baldwin are out tonight searching for a person to scare. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A lady with a semi transparent body has now and then been witnessed relaxing on the floor in a house in Baldwin. The ghost of a guy having on a police force outfit is once in a while witnessed   in Casey Lake State Wildlife Area at the stroke of midnight attempting to grasp something. One of the folks who live here strongly alleges that this ghost could be a famous past native of Baldwin.
