Story is that the two men were traveling through black river falls when there car had broken down. As they started to walk  to the nearest  town another man had picked them up, and instead of giving them a ride into town, he murdered the two men and discarded there bodies into the swamp. Today if you happen to see these two men would most likely to happen in your back seat  without you knowing till you hit the town line and they ask to get out here. Otherwise the men, one wearing a hat and the other wearing a long coat and carrying a briefcase can be seen waving in the swamp at passing cars. A decapitated man has been said to have been witnessed on a handful of instances in the rear seat of a Dodge by the driver seeing the phantom in his rear view mirror late in the night. A woman with her head and right arm and left leg sliced off was made out at Black River Falls Dam around midnight reading a magazine. Many reports of this ghost have been reported. An armed forces uniform strolling about devoid of a body in it showed up by an old woman hiking along a trail next to Black River Falls. Numerous people close by have had matching occurrences involving a similar ghost. The ghost of a civil war combatant was perceived weeping next to Ni-ho-kha-wa-ne-ey-ja on a dark night. This is one of those phantoms that is perceived over and over again in the vicinity. The phantom of a terribly burned female became visible shouting in Castle Mound Recreation Area very late at night. The observer fled immediately after she set eyes on the ghost.
