Custom Search Butte Des Morts, Wisconsin Ghost Sightings Butte Des Morts PAGE 1   2   3   4   5   6     Butte des Morts is French for Hill of the Dead and is close to Winneconne which is 8 miles from Oshkosh, WI.  Back on June 6, 1996 I saw several Native American spirits there though it began with seeing one just north of Fond du Lac as I just thought to see if I could take backroads back to resort in Winneconne where my family has spent years fishing. Winneconne Bridge is one-of-a-kind experience with a draw bridge and fishing     on both sides.  The first ghost was a bright white semi-translucent aura and it was as if he was hung from a tree and then cut loose.  I first question what I seen though a few miles north I came upon a small community and saw 2 ghosts throw another ghost off a flat roof and that ghost disappeared as it hit the ground.  I couldn't believe what I just saw and was frightened.  I drove farther north and noticed that I needed gas and started praying and a few miles later came to a gas station.
