Durand, Wisconsin Ghost Tales On County road (I'm not sure but I believe it is) JJ-  There is a man about middle age who stands at the bottom of a hill and a woman who is sometimes running down to meet him to stand there- she wears a flowered dress and she's middle aged too. Submitted by anonymous From the outside Durand, Wisconsin appears like a standard municipality, but when the darkness of nighttime starts; things turn frightening. Dark time is undeceased time here. Folks who have never stayed for a few days in this municipality will let you know it's lies, but the things that happen here in Durand in the night       time will scare you. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a nurse with a blood-covered uniform has often been made out wandering   from apartment to apartment before sunrise on a Durand road. A female with her right arm and right leg sliced off has been said to have been observed on a small number of occasions reasoning by Cranes Bend. According to what the people who live here claim, this ghost may be the soul of a person who lived here who passed on here in Durand some time ago. The ghost of a gentleman carrying a blood-covered machete may regularly be seen next to the water at Bear Lake scaring folks. A military outfit staggering about devoid of a body in it can be seen very often redistributing orbs around up on Eau Galle Mound. Folks here who have made out this ghost argue this ghost is probably the stressed ghost of a person who used to live here in Durand. The phantom of a civil war warrior is once in a while spotted hauling a corpse from the chilly water of Arkansaw Creek on a dark night. Residents say that this ghost is the undeparted spirit of a long dead Durand resident. In any event, this is an intimidating ghost that any sane person wouldn't wish to come across. The spirit of a gentleman having numbers carved into his head has supposedly been seen on frequent instances turning toward the viewer in Caddie Woodlawn Park in the early morning hours.
