One of the local residents steadfastly declares that this ghost is the ghost of a traveler that was killed while passing through Gleason some decades ago. Regardless of what, it is in   all certainty a scary ghost that you shouldn't go trying to find. The ghost of a woman having half her head gone was seen glugging down water from Payne Spring before dawn. When perceived the ghost came close to the observer who then ran away.
