Custom Search Hollandale, Wisconsin Ghost Sightings Hollandale PAGE 1   2     In the mid 1980s my older brother and his wife rented a farm house on hwy 39 somewhere between Mineral Point and Hollandale. I don't remember the exact location but I do know that it was located on the Left hand side of the road if you are driving towards Hollandale. What I do remember is that the house was without a doubt haunted. On one occasion another of our brothers was staying there (to care for the family dog) while my brother who was renting the     house was out of town. The dog would stand for long periods of times staring at the attic entry hole in the ceiling and would from time to time bark growl and the hair would stand up on her back. The dog reacted this way on several occasions. The dog also refused to go down the basement stairs and would fight anyone who tried to lead her down there. One night while my brother was dog-sitting he was awakened by a very loud noise coming from above him. He described it as a ''marching band'' walking across the floor above him with music and footsteps and a huge commotion. The dog was beside herself barking growling and cowering towards my brother.
