Madison, Wisconsin Ghost Tales    Owners and employees of the various businesses located in this building on Williamson St. in Madison, WI (now occupied  primarily by a popular neighborhood pub and eatery) have many times heard the short whimper or crying of a baby ONLY in the SW corner of the basement. Also, ''The Whistler,'' a man who whistles VERY loudly was just yesterday whistling in my left ear ONLY with few people in the building and who all have said they were not whistling. The employee who has worked in the building the longest (14 yr.) told me, ''Oh, so you've finally met 'The Whistler,' have you? He comes and goes, but is usually heard in one specific area, the stairwell.'' This occurred at 2:42 P.M. on Tuesday, May 20th. Two months prior to this while closing the bar alone, three inanimate objects ''flew'' through the air in a span of approximately 20 minutes. The first was a (very) heavy hardwood barstool (30 lbs.), which landed 5 ft. from the bar. The second was a pint glass which came out of a enclosed pint glass rack, used for safely washing glassware in a commercial dish washer. A lady afire, carrying a fuel tank has been said to have been spotted on a small number of occasions waving to cars by a shady highway close to Madison. In any event, it in all certainty is a chilling ghost that you wouldn't want to come across before sunrise. The ghost of a youthful air force pilot can be noticed very often glugging down fuel from a gas pump at a refueling station in Madison. Whatever folks say, this ghost sure is chilling; one that any reasonable person wouldn't wish to encounter. A female with a blue face has every now and       then been seen flickering a light in Acewood Park after midnight. Locals here who have spotted this ghost declare this ghost could be the soul of a resident who passed away here in Madison long ago. Well, this is an unfriendly ghost that you shouldn't go trying to find. The spirit of a mailman is every so often noticed in the early morning hours   before sunrise conducting a lead trip of Maple Bluff to a troop of ghosts. A womanly character has been said to have been noticed on several instances struggling to deposit a cadaver in Great Central Marsh in the early morning hours before sunrise. A local person declares that this ghost may be a famous past resident of Madison. The ghost of a man hauling a sword can once in a while be perceived yelling names of people underneath a tree in Truvilles Woods. In any case, it is certainly a frightening spirit that should be let alone. The phantom of a woman with words carved into her leg has often been seen drifting along Murphy Creek before sunrise. The spirit of a female with a stiletto in her chest is regularly spotted at Brittingham Bay on a dark night looking down into the water. A female having the head of a goblin is known to have been observed on a small number of occasions at Token Creek Dam in the early morning hours before sunrise looking at the surroundings. One of the folks who live here decisively claims that this spirit is most likely the undeparted spirit of a resident who used to live here in Madison.
