Two days pryer to that my girlfriend sisters husband passed away she lives 2 houses down. Submitted by Greg
Category:
Years ago my friend lived on N Ninth Street and everyone said the house was haunted by a thin man with a long beard. Now most settlers there are rather German looking. I decided to investigate at the library and found a photograph of one of the first owners a Mr. Hubbard that looked exactly like the ghost everyone had seen! Every evening at almost the same time every night there is a sort of sound of the front door opening and the owners of the house would say ''goodnight Mr. Hubbard enjoy your walk'' jokingly.
|
But the ''ghost'' was often seen walking up and down N. 9th Street at night... And only after the sound of the closing door. The daughter of Mr. Hubbard taught at the local school her photograph can be found in year books of the time.
|
She is supposedly seen walking to the school some early mornings (about 6 am). They appear to be very friendly and nice ghosts and people living in the house never have reported being afraid of them. Workmen have reported being afraid of a ghost in the basement but no one seems to know much about that one. Submitted by Kati
Comment by Kitty: I lived in that house on N 9th Street, very nice ghosts indeed and no one minded the Hubbards at all!.
