Upon researching the house, it was found that a man hung himself in the basement sometime in the 20's -his name is Joseph Hovey- not sure what that has to do with a little boy- also, a woman can be heard sometimes on the back porch and in the yard saying over and over as if looking for someone ''Hello'' ''Hello'' Hello''. Scores of ghost reports have been told by the folks who live here. Folks who have never stayed for a few days in this municipality will inform you it's a pack of lies, but the ghosts of Menomonie are out tonight trying to find somebody to freak out. The ghost didn't seem to be scared by the onlookers. A lady with larvae crawling out of her nose was witnessed in a Menomonie house. The ghost reacted to the watcher. The phantom of a   female with a dagger in her heart came into sight burying a dead body by a sizeable rock in Burton E Nelson Field after midnight. When the ghost was observed it faded away into the night. The spirit of a chained up female was noticed on the shore of Lake Menomin shouting at the observer to beat it. The ghost was swallowed by the thin air after being observed. According to the people who live here, this ghost takes pleasure in startling people who are fearless enough to disturb the quiet in Menomonie. A woman with the head of a leprechaun was noticed staggering by the side of a wild highway outside Menomonie. Frightened by the witnesses the ghost departed into the shadows. If you listen to what the folks who live here argue, this ghost gets pleasure from startling foolhardy people who come trying to find ghosts in Menomonie. A female carrying her head next to her arm is regularly observed coming into view in a mirror. The ghost of a man having half his head missing is known to have been observed on many instances on the highest spot of Otteson Bluff late at night examining the landscape. Many local residents argue this ghost could be the soul of a local person who died here in Menomonie many years ago.
