Mindoro, Wisconsin Ghost Tales


The sunlight hours in Mindoro, Wisconsin are like sunlight hours anywhere else, but when the darkness of nighttime commences; things become chilling. The ghosts of this municipality don’t leave anyone unalarmed. Some local residents argue there are no ghosts, but only some of the natives of Mindoro are still alive.

The spirit of an adolescent girl has every so often been noticed dragging a cadaver from the cold water of Davis Creek at night.

The spirit of a female with half her head gone is every now and then spotted monitoring the scenery from the summit of Heller Hill late in the night.

A lady with a spear in her head is known to have been seen on numerous instances in a secluded place near Mindoro.

The ghost of a young-looking Indian warrior can now and then be made out studying Anderson Coulee in detail before dawn.

The ghost of an airliner pilot was spotted hollowing out an outlet in a plastic boat on Horseshoe Lake. Several accounts of this ghost have been described.
