Mondovi, Wisconsin Ghost Tales When I first moved in my house in Mondovi, I didn't really expect a real haunt! When we moved in my house there would be a man in a raincoat walking past our house lately. We thought it was a normal man on a normal routhine.But, boy were we wrong! About the first two weeks when I would go to bed at night. We didn't have our beds yet so we had to sleep on the floor well, when we would sleep on the floor every night for about two weeks I would hear someone [a man] calling my name from downstairs. One night I was in the bathroom and I was really scared because I had that felling like someone's watching you well, this time he yelled my name so loud and scary that I couldn't go anywhere alone. Also one day my dad was walking down the basement and he saw that same man in the raincoat walking down the stairs with him. We haven't had any experiences since. Well,one time I didn't see my mom downstairs so I went upstairs to check if she was there.She wasn't. So I went downstairs and I looked up the stairs and I saw a shadow of a woman in a gown folding       clothes! And I got so freaked out because I just figured out my mom was in the bathroom curling her hair!I think it was my mom's mom. She looked liked my grandma's ghost!. The phantom of a civil war fighter was noticed in Buffalo County Fair Grounds around midnight pulling a dead body over the grass. Additional folks nearby have had comparable sightings involving a very similar ghost. The phantom of a badly burned female came into sight in Armour Valley before sunrise going wild. This ghost is incredibly active in this area; there have been a small number of additional stories of this precise ghost. If you listen to what the residents argue, this ghost can be the spirit of a person who lived here who died here in Mondovi long ago.
