In any event, this is a horrible ghost that you wouldn't want to run into around midnight. The spirit of a waitress can occasionally be witnessed nosing around in mailboxes after midnight in Sauk City. The spirit of an elderly   cleaning lady has repeatedly been spotted sipping blood from a bottle in Dunlap Hollow in the early morning hours before sunrise. No matter what, it's a menacing phantom that you shouldn't go trying to locate. The spirit of a young woman clad as a maid is regularly spotted by the water at Wiegands Bay trying to find a map. A number of people assert this ghost is the ghost of a visitor that was killed while journeying through Sauk City many years ago. No matter what people utter, it's undoubtedly a terrifying ghost that should be left alone. The spirit of a down-and-out gentleman has purportedly been spotted on a small number of occasions checking out Ferry Bluff on a dark night. A frightening creature may regularly be distinguished mid stream in Halfway Prairie Creek smoking a cigar. If you talk to the folks who live here, this ghost is that of a person who had a home here in Sauk City some decades ago.
