Sauk City, Wisconsin Ghost Tales


Sauk City, Wisconsin is an apparently common place if the sun is up in the sky, but this town is run by stressed ghosts of yesteryear. Night time is undead time here. Not everybody has faith in the descriptions the people who live here tell, but the undead souls of Sauk City are all too real.

The ghost of an appallingly mangled hunter hauling a dead moose has allegedly been distinguished on numerous occasions in a restaurant in the Sauk City vicinity.

The ghost of a young woman with a cable around her neck can regularly be perceived howling at the onlooker to stay away in Alice Graf Park very late at night.

A guy lacking a head can be perceived repeatedly creeping up from a storm drain on a Sauk City lane at the stroke of midnight.

The phantom of an old gold digger with a large beard and a hook instead of his left hand has every so often been spotted gazing at the vista from the pinnacle of Round Top Hill at midnight.

The
 
    ghost of an aged woman grasping a handgun is every now and then seen at midnight looking across Sauk Prairie. In any event, this is a horrible ghost that you wouldn't want to run into around midnight.

The spirit of a waitress can occasionally be witnessed nosing around in mailboxes after midnight in Sauk City.

The spirit of an elderly
  cleaning lady has repeatedly been spotted sipping blood from a bottle in Dunlap Hollow in the early morning hours before sunrise. No matter what, it's a menacing phantom that you shouldn't go trying to locate.

The spirit of a young woman clad as a maid is regularly spotted by the water at Wiegands Bay trying to find a map. A number of people assert this ghost is the ghost of a visitor that was killed while journeying through Sauk City many years ago. No matter what people utter, it's undoubtedly a terrifying ghost that should be left alone.

The spirit of a down-and-out gentleman has purportedly been spotted on a small number of occasions checking out Ferry Bluff on a dark night.

A frightening creature may regularly be distinguished mid stream in Halfway Prairie Creek smoking a cigar. If you talk to the folks who live here, this ghost is that of a person who had a home here in Sauk City some decades ago.
