According to the locals, this ghost may be a distinguished days gone by inhabitant of Spooner. The ghost of a mailman may from time to time be observed in a house outside Spooner. A womanly person has repeatedly been seen looking for a box by a parked Chrysler in a Spooner parking lot in the early morning hours before sunrise. One thing is for guaranteed, it's a frightening ghost that is better not interrupted. The ghost of a woman having names carved into her head is often seen in St. Croix State Park by the park headquarters smoking a cigar. Based on what the locals declare, this ghost is perhaps the undeceased ghost of a resident who used to have a home here in Spooner.
