Watertown, Wisconsin Ghost Tales

More stories in regards and addition to my previous story of the '' haunted'' home on Cleveland Street in Watertown. I think it is important to know the house was built in 1851 by Christian Schmutzler. It has been referred to in History books about Watertown as being and exact replica of his home in Bavaria. It was called the ''small eagle house'' because of the eagle embellishments that were placed over each window outside. Now they have deteriorated and cant really be made out as to what they are. Christian's family through out the centuries have been very well known with a long line of history in Watertown. He erected many of the historical buildings in the downtown area, including the 1st city hall. All of them made of brick made from the then  I believe the name to be  ''The Watertown Brick Company''. Just within the past week a few other things have happened.  My husband and I were watching TV. when we heard a sound from our bathroom. I went to investigate. I figured one of our cats was doing something mischievous in there, however,
both cats were in the kitchen on chairs sound asleep. I checked every where in the bathroom and then checked behind the shower curtain to find that my razor was laying on the shower floor. My razor has a suction cup holder that keeps it in one location and holds it tightly in a deep container and the container was still attached to the wall inside
the shower. It cannot move without me pulling it out. I replaced it and went back to the living room. About 3 mins later we hear the same noise and I again find the razor on the floor in the same place it was the 1st time. I put it back and that was it.  My husband and I just smiled at each other and didn't say a word. Twice today I had one of our inside doors open so we could have just our storm door open to get some fresh air. I was talking to a friend on the phone when I watched the door very slowly and steadily close. I opened it again. Finished with my call and went to the basement to  get laundry and when I came back up it was closed again. I really do not get scared by these things anymore or even creeped out. The only time I feel uneasy is in the basement and sometimes in what is our Granddaughters room when she visits. Mainly, her closet. I keep it closed and never go in it or even look at it really.  She is going to be 4yrs old and it doesn't seem to bother her other than I have to keep a small lamp on as well as the hall light on
and her door open.  She tells me every night before she goes to sleep not to let the monster get her and that our cats chase the monsters away that's why she wants the door open. I always tell her if she needs to she should come wake me up and its my job to make sure everything is happy and safe for her. So far the only time she wakes me up is when the sun comes up in the morning.
