Me and my roommates have lived on S Whiton st, Whitewater for the past 2 years (going on a third, and have heard all the witch stories and folk stories of it being a haunted city. Being sensitive to these energies I concur. Just today we started doing more research on the town and we hope to look into our own house history-- to retrace the steps of its own haunting.? In particular, all roommates and guests have seen our personal house ghost.?We estimate this man to be somewhere in his 40's-late 50's.? We have a hallway from our kitchen to our living room and the only two doors off that hallway are the bathroom and stairs to the basement.?He lingers at the end of the hallway right outside of the living room. Besides frequently seeing him, his presence is always well know due to the door beads we have hanging in the entry way from the hall to the living room.? The space is a dead zone for air circulation-- and yet the beads indicate a body moving through the entryway-- most noticeably during periods in the middle of the night or while sitting

Hearing voices is a very common thing in the house too-- In fact, just this morning I was blow drying my hair and I could hear, what I thought was a roommate of mine, yelling.? I turned my hair dryer off and went into the living room near the noise to find no one-- in fact, all roommates had left for the

weekend and still hadn't returned home.? The man is quite tricky and small objects are commonly misplaced in the oddest of settings.? We treat him as another roommate of the house-- obviously he lives with us too and he has never done anything to be fearful of him, in fact, his presence is very serene. We have never seen or felt his presence anywhere else besides that hallway-- he stops at the end of the hall where the living room and bedrooms are located-- some reasons: he doesn't want to invade in on our privacy, he is lonely and doesn't want to scare us off, or its a simple mutual understanding that the living and deceased are both present and welcome in the house. Hopefully through deed researching we can gather more information of the house-- a heads up to any future UW whitewater students who are to rent 227 s whiton in the future. .

While we were there we started to notice a lot of different things about the house. There were flies everywhere, and when My boyfriend and I went into the extra bedroom's closet the attic door was in there....well it was nailed shut like nobody was suppose to go up there or it was preventing something from coming down. Our first few nights in that house were terrible. We would be getting ready to go to sleep and we would hear heavy footsteps above us like a heavier man running....then it would sound like people were banging on the walls of the attic. Even when we would step outside we would hear unseen people babbling. But then one night in late February, we were coming back from getting something for dinner it was right after a really bad snow storm had occurred, so as we were walking up to the back door we heard a noise from behind the shed he turned around to see what it was as I kept going...then I looked up to see a dark figure off in the distance, I felt a hard shove from behind and the next thing I knew I was on the ground screaming.....I had shattered my ankle. At first I thought it was my boyfriend but then I new it could not have been him....to this day I have no clue what it was or who it was....after we had come back from the hospital we were settling down to go to sleep and we heard a man laughing an awful laugh that is still in the back of my head to this day. A few weeks later we decided to move out. I was staying with my mom until I had gotten better and that is in the town of Whitewater. That is the house I grew up in. Well as I was starting to get better my boyfriend and I decided we were going to move out. I was packing all of my stuff and some of my stuff was in my mom's attic, so I decided to go up there. I have hated going up there, it just scares me, I was sitting up there gathering some things and in the far corner of the attic i could see a figure of a man looking out the window. I was a little creeped out but not enough to leave...I sat there for a little while longer as I watched and then it just disappeared. I went down to grab my brother and we decided to go back up there, we were going up the stairs and all of the clothes that I was going through, were hanging from the ceiling. Like the person was trying to be funny. But I know it has been in that house for awhile. It's very harmless and I have named him Carl. I do not know who he is but it just feels like he is there to watch over everyone that lives in that house.
