Antioch, Illinois Ghost Tales At the grass lake landing on grass lake, when you are at the the highest part of the park there, there is a narrow cart path which leads to a small shack. Me and some of my friends went inside and the floorboards gave out into a basement and underneath were two ghosts sitting at a table eating dinner. When you shine light on it, they disappear. when we went back upstairs you could hear the sound of forks and knives on silverware. We came back the next day and it was empty, not even the table they ate at. Spirits are so standard in this place; lots of people       who live here don’t even lose sleep about it anymore. Not everyone believes in the testimonies the people who live here tell, but the things that go on here in Antioch during the dark hours will shock you. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a 10 foot tall huge person was   noticed trying to flag down cars alongside a gloomy highway in close proximity to Antioch. The ghost saluted the eye witness. Scores of local residents say this ghost may be a recognized yesteryear local of Antioch. The spirit of a woman having half her head lost came into view sending a parcel at an Antioch post office. When the ghost was observed it disappeared into the thin air. A female having a knife in her head was observed downing fuel from a fuel pump at a refueling station in Antioch. The phantom was consumed by the air after being seen. One thing is for certain, this is a horrible phantom that you wouldn't wish to run into at night. A drifting ghost came into view sniveling next to the water at Cross Lake. Panic stricken by the witnesses the ghost fled into the night. The spirit of a young-looking Indian combatant was distinguished in Cedar Lake Bog Nature Preserve after midnight dragging a corpse over rocks. When observed the ghost came close to the watcher who then ran off. Locals here argue that this ghost is possibly the struggling ghost of a person who used to reside here in Antioch.
