It was built by a Man who also died in the House (i don't know when? ). Anyhow I used to hear the same creaking noise night after night across the threshold of the doorway to my bedroom. It always seemed to happen around 11 pm. I was scared to sleep by myself - I'd keep the Hall light and the bedroom light on. My dad told me that he used to hear     the front door open and close when he'd locked the deadbolt. Sometimes we'd also hear footsteps on the stairway to the upstairs. Sometimes we just see something Black moving out of the corner of our eyes or we see it dart into a room when were in the hallways.
