Benton, Illinois Ghost Tales

In a turn-of-the-century home on North Main in Benton, visitors often open the front bathroom door to see the back of a man beating another man with a whip.  In that same house, upon stepping from the dining room to the kitchen, a man is often seen sitting at the kitchen table.  The home owner would often wake up in the morning to find shoes that were left tied and dusty to have been cleaned and untied.
