Blue Island, Illinois Ghost Tales | |
|
2113 Vermont. We moved there when I was fifteen and weird things happened there all the time. Our neighbor came to introduce herself and said that she waves at the woman with the long hair and the woman never waves back she just stands in the window. Our vacuum would turn on by itself when no cord was in the outlets. My mothers broken grandfather clock started chiming and the smell of roses was present every now and then. Which is weird because the house is located on a busy street and next to an alley. My sister and I did find the bones of a human hand in the basement ceiling and reported it to the police. They investigated and found a leg bone and nothing else. It was hard to get use to strange things happening. Relatives hated staying with us,saying that the shadows and the feeling of being watch freaked them out. My parents had the house blessed and stayed in there for eleven more years. I have talked to the current residents and the same things happen. Submitted by anonymous

everyone has faith in the reports the folks who live here tell, but with so many ghosts in Blue Island you have a quite magnificent chance of witnessing one if you stay an extra day in this town.
These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.
An old knight's armor devoid of a person inside was observed very late at night drifting by on Midlothian Creek. When the eye witness came into sight the spirit ran off. Residents who have noticed this ghost declare this ghost may be a recognized past inhabitant of Blue Island. One thing's for guaranteed, it is indisputably a scary phantom that you shouldn't go looking for.
A semi translucent man clad as the skipper of a ship was made out camping in Calumet Woods in the early morning hours before sunrise. The arrival of the bystander alarmed the phantom who then faded away.
The spirit of a youthful guy wearing a confederate uniform was observed staring across Kickapoo Meadows very late at night. The witness panicked and escaped.

phantom of a chained up gentleman was perceived searching for a box underneath a parked car in a Blue Island parking lot before dawn. The phantom did not appear to be concerned by the onlookers. Whichever way, this is a bad ghost that is rather not interrupted.
