Brookfield, Illinois Ghost Tales A gray house on the block of Morton in Brookfield is haunted. Previous owners have reported strange feelings/voices, swinging chandeliers & lights that go on & off by themselves, mysterious fire in basement and a feeling of someone (or something) pushing them. This ghost seems to favor men over women and would not act up if the father was home. Usually things would happen only when the mother and children were home alone.
