Custom Search Brookport, Illinois Ghost Sightings Brookport PAGE 1   2   3     When I was a kid in high school we left our local hangout spot of Noble Park and drove into southern Illinois to what some kids had sworn was a haunted house. We drove off the main highway and eventually on a dirt road winding thru Corn Fields when on the left appeared a the crumbling mansion. It had to have been a Beauty in its time. I believe the place was called huntercook mansion. We arrived skeptics and left terrified.     I was so unnerved by the events I returned mid Day with a couple of friends who didn't know the Story Only to leave again vowing to never return. I've scoured the net for info on the place and have yet to find anything. I'm positive there are people in the paducah/brookport/metropolis area who know what I am referring to.
