The       ghost of an elderly guy with a huge gray mustache has once in a while been perceived chatting into the night next to a streetlight in Clifton. Anyhow, this ghost sure is creepy; one that you shouldn't go seeking. The phantom of a gentleman in a military uniform is from time to time spotted trying to locate a person in Goose Lake Prairie State   Park quite near the ranger station. One of the local residents strongly argues that this ghost is that of a local person who had a house here in Clifton in the past.
